Shung Ye Museum of Formosan Aborigines 順益台灣原住民博物館
Museum of Formosan Aborigines was well worth to see. Interesting collection of information about all Aboriginal tribes in Taiwan.
Entrance fee: Adult 150NT, Student/Child: 100NT.
Tamsui district (this could be skipped): has nice riverside and lots of stores, but over the weekend too many people. It's not that really interesting as it is promoted everywhere.

For traveling by city bus and MRT, you can use convenient Easy card. It will charge you 15NT per bus ride (doesn't matter how far) and give small dicount of MRT ticket (comparing to the ticket bought from vending machine).
